General Profiling, an industry leading steel service center based in the West Rand of Johannesburg is growing rapidly and is looking for an Internal Sales – Draughtsman to join our team.
The business established more the 50 years ago has two primary offerings – namely cut to size steel services and steel fabrication services. The business operates 24 hours a day 5 days a week and employs more than 300 staff and is growing rapidly.
In this role, you will be the driving force behind our sales success, utilizing your technical expertise and outstanding communication skills to engage with clients, understand their requirements, and create accurate and detailed drawings. Your keen eye for detail and ability to translate customer needs into comprehensive designs will ensure customer satisfaction and a long term mutually beneficial relationship. REMUNERATION:
- Experience dependent R12 000 per month cost to company
- Pension and medical aid
- Annual 13th cheque performance dependent
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Represent the Company and deal with customers in a professional, respectful, efficient and courteous manner.
- Ensure that all Orders and Quotations are handled according to Company systems and guidelines.
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify client needs and translate them into technical drawings and proposals.
- Develop accurate and detailed 2D/3D drawings using industry-leading software and tools.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and offering expert guidance throughout the sales process.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including engineers and project managers, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technological advancements to continually enhance your skills and deliver innovative solutions to clients.
COMPETENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.) to create accurate technical drawings.
- Proven experience as a Draughtsman or similar role, with a focus on sales and customer interaction.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and internal teams.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality work within deadlines.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
